We are committed to lending transparency and increasing public awareness about the four sets of institutions that have the greatest impact on teacher quality: states, teacher preparation programs, school districts, and teachers unions.

NCTQ’s primary focus in 2013 is on teacher prep. The 2012 interim State Teacher Policy Yearbook provides a road-map to states fixing their teacher prep regulations, and the first-ever edition of the NCTQ Teacher Prep Review will be released in June 2013, providing an in-depth look at over 1,000 college-based teacher preparation programs. Our district studies also continue to help communities improve their recruitment and retention of a highly capable teaching force. LEARN MORE

MISSION The National Council on Teacher Quality advocates for reforms in a broad range of teacher policies at
["post-412","page","type-page","status-publish","hentry
["GET
