In the Fall of 2012, national experts in the fields of dropout prevention and post-secondary readiness (Geoffrey Canada, Vanda Belusic- Vollor, and Robert Balfanz) came together to discuss the situation in Connecticut and explore possible solutions on how Connecticut agencies can work together to better engage young people in their education. This event was put on by Our Piece of the Pie, DOMUS, Nellie Mae Education Foundation, and the Carnegie Corporation of New York.
