This photo shows the importance of getting books into the hands of young children. This was a counting lesson. These 2 year olds and 3 year olds were engaged in counting to 10. The books gave the children a hands-on experience with counting. We all counted together, laughed at the pictures, and had fun counting. Each child got to take the book home to keep. The counting fun could continue at home with their families.
