Our best teachers come in thirsty for growth, they come in ready for growth, and in the end someone like that can have the most growth of any of the teachers that year. For example, in Casey’s first year her students’ reading levels improved 3.5 grade levels, and last year it was around 3 grade levels in one year. She doesn’t want to experience a day in her profession that feels like she didn’t grow from the previous day.
