In my old school, it felt like only about two teachers cared. But here it feels like all the teachers care about what students are learning. You can see they really care about what students are going to do with their lives. The scholars who come to us have typically been living below the poverty line and attending failing schools for most of their lives. A ninth grade class typically comes in 5 to 6 grade levels behind.
