When my teaching is inspired, I am no longer the only teacher in the room. I am the conduit through which young people find their own power to teach, to learn, to voice, to explore, to transform, and to heal. In this picture, my students are helping one another to attain their dreams, which are written on notecards outside of the circle, and this can only be done when every single individual in the circle contributes. The young people struggled and fell, but through teamwork and resiliency, they were able to succeed at retrieving each dream, and the whole class learned the true value of community.
