When I picture great teaching, I see kids who know their visions can become reality.
The Goshen High School Engineering Team competed against teams from UCLA, Purdue, Duke, Cal Poly, Penn State, Rice, BYU — but these high schoolers were undaunted at the mountain ahead. They trekked from Indiana all the way to Houston in an aged and rickety mini-SPV (which caught fire on the way home), but managed to get both cars onto the track and finished 20th!
