When I picture great teaching I see students taking what they learn in the classroom and applying it in real-world situations … like competitive high school debate tournaments, where our future leaders are able to effectively discuss current event topics and persuade an unbiased third-party adult their arguments – backed by factual data and sound logic – carry more weight than their opponents’ points.
