This is a close-up of student designed, engineered, and built steamboats.
We built steam boats out of a 9 inch rectangular piece of wood. The kids tested for stability and speed with a prototype prior to designing their own boat. They chose their own bow degrees, sanded, made the boiler, and drilled. Upon completion, the students walked to Mrs. Roberts’s house to race the boats in the pool!
